COMPACTED TOGETHER.

Psalm 122: 3-4 (KJV). Jerusalem is builded As a city that is compact together:
Verse 4….. Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, Unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
The Hebrew term that is translated “compact together” is a beautiful word, it is the word from which we get the modern Hebrew word “chabar” which means “a companion”, “ a close friends”.
Do you see what makes Jerusalem significant? It is the place where the Lord put his name. And when the tribes of Israel go to the city of Jerusalem three times every year as God commanded, they were testifying. The Lord who dwells in Jerusalem, the Lord who has put his name in Jerusalem is our God. That is why we go there.
What is important is the place where we meet. That is the place where the Lord has set his name, that is the revelation behind what David wrote about in our theme scripture. This is the revelation behind our “compact together”. It is the revelation of being led by the Spirit into Christ.
We are a city compacted together by the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus, and because of this, everyone of us is supposed to supply the very nutrient required to make this body function effectively.
The Grace and the anointing released when we understand our being compacted together “into” Christ is what makes for our protection, blessings and progress. As children of God, let this mind be in you.
Prayer:
Lord, I am forever grateful for the union and fellowship we have in Christ Jesus, truly our fellowship is with the father who have made all things and we get better as we behold ourselves in the mirror of the word. Hallelujah.
