DON’T LET THINGS CHANGE YOU.

DON’T LET THINGS CHANGE YOU.
Pastor Obinna Michael

Genesis 18: 19 (KJV). For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

The topic of our today’s devotional may be read with many questions in your heart. Firstly, what do I mean by “Things”?
When I use the word “Things”, am talking about every thing that brings us joy as humans, ranging from material things to our getting married or having our own child after many years. The problem God has with some believers is that giving them or granting them their heart desires can take them away from His presence.

This is one of the many reasons you find believers queuing up for their miracles, and it seems as if God is not seeing them, some of us can’t manage success. Some sisters in the house of God receive from the Lord that child they have been crying for years only for them to start skipping services and giving excuses to God. When you try to talk to some of them, they either get angry or say things like: you won’t understand or it is not easy.

Children of God, how can you allow material blessings from the Lord take you away from him? Our theme scripture reveals the confidence the Lord shared in the man Abraham. The Lord said he knew what Abraham can do, can such be said of you? Do we know what you can do?

Many have lost their fire and zeal because they allowed “Things” to control them. How can you allow the blessings from the Lord take his place in your heart? Don’t blame anybody when you begin to see these signs, just be truthful to yourself and repent before the Lord, lest you will create an inroads for the enemy to strike.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for instructing my heart this day with your word, and by your Spirit. I know I have been wrong but I repent today and I refuse to let my fire go down in Jesus name. Amen.
